Since 1995, Marie-Victorin fashion College offers its students a special and unique fur fashion option within its fashion program. The main objective of this specialized program is to show students how fur can be introduced into ready-to-wear, whether in full fur pieces or in fur trim. Students learn about the many steps a fur design must go through before becoming a finished garment, starting from the initial sketches drawn by the designer, the pattern development to the final fabrication of the fur piece.
The Marie-Victorin fur fashion programme has given each year lucky students the opportunity to do a two weeks internship at the Saga Furs of Scandinavia Design Centre in Copenhagen.
